BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Sixteen Hand-Signed University of Texas Longhorns Football Publicity Photographs

This collection consists of sixteen hand-signed color publicity photographs featuring various players from the University of Texas Longhorns football team, dating to the approximately 2011-2012 season during the tenure of head coach Mack Brown. Each photograph depicts a player in a home orange Texas jersey on the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The signatures are executed in black felt-tip marker, with many including the player’s jersey number as an inscription. One photograph includes a religious scriptural inscription. The players identified in this group include running back Jeremy Hills (#3), fullback Ryan Roberson (#5), wide receiver Jaren Nickleson (#11 and #29), quarterback David Ash (#14), punter Alex King (#15), tight end DJ Grant (#18), defensive end Alex Okafor (#30 and #80), running back Heath Hohmann (#43), linebacker Brad Terry (#46), defensive end Taylor Silguero (#57), linebacker Casey Reninger (#58), offensive tackle Luke Poehlmann (#77), tight end Trevor Leeson (#83), and tight end Barrett Matthews (#89). Notable in the collection is Alex Okafor, who later became a Super Bowl champion in the NFL. The reverse side of the photographs contains handwritten identification of the player and their respective position. These signatures are uncertified.

Each photograph: 8 x 10 inches.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The photographs are in excellent condition with bold, legible signatures and vibrant color. The edges and corners appear sharp with only minor handling wear. The reverse side of most photos features handwritten ink notations for identification purposes.
