Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! An Assortment of Vintage Mid-Century Japanese Ceramic Poodle Figurines
An assortment of vintage mid-century ceramic poodle figurines of Japanese origin. The collection comprises two distinct stylistic groups. The first group features white glazed ceramic poodles with shredded clay spaghetti texture representing the fur, accented with metallic gold-gilt highlights on the ears, head, and tail. The larger mother poodle in this group is marked with the model number C-5882 on the base and retains a gold-tone metal collar and chain. The second group consists of black glazed ceramic figurines with textured nubby coats, painted with red collars and white muzzle accents. The base of the larger mother poodle in the black group is stamped JAPAN, revealing a redware clay body. Both groups include smaller puppy figurines designed to be tethered to the mother figures by metal chains.
Condition report:
The collection is in good vintage condition consistent with age. In the white spaghetti set, one puppy remains attached to the mother figure by the metal chain, while the second puppy is detached. The fragile spaghetti texture shows minor scattered wear. In the black set, one puppy remains attached and one is detached. There is minor wear to the cold-painted red details on the collars. All figurines appear free of significant chips or cracks to the ceramic bodies.
