Lot 68:
Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! This is an original US theatrical half-sheet movie poster for the 1968 Paramount Pictures film No Way to Treat a Lady. The landscape-oriented poster is printed in monochrome black and white on paper stock. The layout features a tripartite design: the left section contains three rotated portrait photographs of stars Rod Steiger, Lee Remick, and George Segal; the center features two hands framing the film title alongside the tagline …or is it?; and the right side presents the credits, film billing, and studio logos.
Notable credits printed on the poster include direction by Jack Smight, production by Sol C. Siegel, and screenplay by John Gay based on the novel by William Goldman. Co-stars listed include Eileen Heckart, Murray Hamilton, and Michael Dunn.
Printed markings and identifiers in the margins include:
Bottom Left Margin: Copyright 1967 by Sol C. Siegel Pictures, Inc. and Paramount Pictures Corporation.
Bottom Center Margin: National Screen Service licensing disclaimer.
Bottom Right Margin: Paramount Gulf plus Western Company logo, National Screen Service number 68/127, Country of Origin U.S., and an Amalgamated Lithographers of America union label for Local No. 1, New York.
Condition report:
The poster is in very good vintage condition, featuring a clean, original vertical fold line down the center as issued. The paper shows light, even age-toning across the sheet, with slightly more visible toning along the outer margins. The margins are intact without visible pinholes, tears, or tape residue.
