BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! 10 Scranton Wilkes-Barre Red Barons and RailRiders Baseball Bobblehead Figures
This collection consists of 10 baseball bobblehead figures representing players from the Scranton Wilkes-Barre franchise. The group primarily features players from the Red Barons era wearing white pinstriped uniforms with maroon accents and Red Barons across the chest. Included in the lot are three Scott Rolen figures (number 17), and individual figures for Shane Victorino (number 8), Curt Schilling (number 38), Pat Burrell (number 11), Andy Ashby (number 16), Brandon Duckworth (number 31), and Randy Wolf (number 43). A later-period figure of Clint Frazier (number 4) is also present, depicted in a blue and white pinstriped uniform with yellow and orange flame accents. The Shane Victorino figure is mounted on a base shaped like the state of Hawaii with an inscription for 2005 IL MVP. The Andy Ashby figure is shown in a pitching follow-through on a dirt-textured base inscribed 2x MLB All-Star. Bases feature various promotional plaques for sponsors including AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, Novel T-Shirts Sports Promotions, The Times-Tribune, Casey Dental, 98.5 KRZ, and T.J. Maxx.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
Condition report:
The figures appear to be in good overall condition. Original protective bubble wrap or clear plastic neck padding remains in place on six of the figures. Minor shelf wear is visible on the bases and painted surfaces. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are observed.
