This lot features a ceramic building facade from the Department 56 Christmas in the City series, officially licensed by Major League Baseball. The piece represents the exterior of the 2009 Yankee Stadium. The construction includes a tan brick-textured upper section with the words Yankee Stadium rendered in gold-toned lettering above central windows adorned with red, white, and blue patriotic banners. The base is finished in a grey stone-textured style with blue awnings over the entryways and a raised plaque displaying the interlocking NY team logo. The reverse side of the facade contains a large informative plaque titled New York Yankees, which provides historical data on the stadium and a list of former players and personnel recognized in Memorial Park, such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Mickey Mantle.
