This collection consists of nine Bronze Age DC Comics published between 1975 and 1977. The group primarily features titles from the Superman and Legion of Super-Heroes families. The collection includes Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes number 213 (December 1975) with cover art by Mike Grell, Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes number 217 (June 1976) with cover art by Mike Grell, and Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes number 218 (July 1976) featuring the DC Comics Salutes the Bicentennial header and Mike Grell cover art. Also included are Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes number 221 (November 1976) and number 227 (May 1977), both featuring Mike Grell cover art. The lot contains three Giant-size 50-cent issues: The Superman Family number 177 (July 1976), Super-Team Family number 5 (July 1976) featuring Superman and Batman versus Eclipso, and the premiere issue of Four Star Spectacular number 1 (April 1976) featuring Superboy, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Hawkman. Completing the collection is The Secret Society of Super-Villains number 5 (February 1977) with cover art by Rich Buckler and Jack Abel. All comics are presented in protective plastic sleeves with backing boards.
Condition report:
The comics are in ungraded condition, generally appearing to be in mid-grade (Very Good to Fine) condition. Visible wear includes minor spine stress lines, particularly on Superboy number 213 and Super-Team Family number 5. Light edge wear and corner blunting are present across several issues. The covers appear attached, and no significant tearing or moisture damage is observed from the exterior visual inspection.
