This collection of six original Bronze Age comic books is from the first volume of the Swamp Thing series published by DC Comics in 1976. The group consists of issue number 21 (March 1976), four copies of issue number 23 (July 1976), and issue number 24 (September 1976). The cover art for issue number 21 features a signature mark consisting of the letter R inside a circle in the bottom-left corner, which is attributed to artist Nestor Redondo. These are newsstand editions, identified by the presence of a UPC barcode in the bottom-left corner of each cover. All issues bear the DC circular logo and the Approved by the Comics Code Authority seal. Issue number 23 features the storyline Rebirth and Nightmare, marketed as The New Swamp Thing. Issue number 24 is the final issue of the original 1972 series run. The comics are raw and presented in protective plastic sleeves with backing boards.
Condition report:
The comics appear to be in mid-to-high grade condition. Covers show vibrant colors and lie flat. Spines are generally straight with minor stress lines; no major spine splits or cover detachments are visible through the protective sleeves. Corners are relatively sharp with minimal blunting. One copy of issue number 23 shows slight corner rounding at the top right.
