A collection of ten Marvel Comics magazine editions from the Conan Saga series, spanning issues 1 through 10. Published under the A Marvel Magazine imprint between May 1987 and February 1988, this series presents black and white reprints of the original 1970s Conan the Barbarian comic run. All covers in this lot feature painted artwork by Barry Windsor-Smith. The collection includes the premiere issue (Issue 1) from May 1987, featuring stories such as The Coming of Conan and Lair of the Beast Men. Other notable inclusions are issue 2 containing Tower of the Elephant and issue 9 featuring the adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s Red Nails by Barry Windsor-Smith and Roy Thomas. Condition report:
The collection is in raw, ungraded condition, generally appearing to be in the Very Fine (VF) range. The covers exhibit high gloss with only minor blunting at some corners. Spines appear flat and intact with minimal color-breaking stress lines and no observed detachments. Issue 1 is housed in a protective plastic sleeve which has a yellow price sticker affixed to the plastic rather than the magazine itself.
