A collection of seven independent horror comic books published in the early 1990s by Eternity Comics and Atomeka Press. The group includes a four-issue run of the anthology series Killing Stroke (issues 1, 2, 3, and 4) from Eternity Comics, which was an imprint of Malibu Graphics. Subtitled The Best in New British Horror, issue 1 includes an introduction by Jamie Delano and cover art by Mark Buckingham. Issues 2, 3, and 4 feature cover art by Crutchley, with signatures dated 1991. The lot also contains three anthology one-shots from Atomeka Press: Night Vision by David Quinn and Hannibal King; Sweetmeats by Steve Tanner and Pete Venters; and Sugarvirus, featuring early work by writer Warren Ellis with Martin Chaplin and Garry Marshall. All three Atomeka publications feature cover art by John Bolton and include a statement regarding an internal free cover poster by the artist.
Condition report:
Raw, uncertified copies. The Killing Stroke issues generally appear in Very Fine to Near Mint- condition with light shelf wear, minor spine ticks, and sharp corners. The Atomeka Press books appear to be in Very Fine or better condition with flat, intact spines and minimal surface wear.
