This lot consists of two vintage DC comic books featuring Superman. The first item is Action Comics issue number 286, published in March 1962 by National Comics Publications. The cover illustrates the feature story The Jury of Super-Enemies! wherein Superman is depicted in a courtroom setting before a jury of villains including Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Saturn Queen, Cosmic King, Lightning Lord, and Electro. The cover also advertises a Supergirl adventure. The second item is Superman issue number 241, titled The Amazing New Adventures of Superman, published in August 1971. This issue features the story The Shape of Fear! and is an expanded 25-cent edition. The cover artwork is attributed to Neal Adams. The comic books are ungraded and stored in individual protective sleeves with backing boards. Action Comics number 286 shows wear consistent with age, including significant color-breaking creases along the right edge and spine. There is visible spine stress and edge wear. Handwritten notations in ink (2-1 and 62) are present on the upper left corner of the cover. Superman number 241 displays moderate spine stress and chipping along the bottom edge of the cover.
