A collection of five vintage Beetle Bailey comic books published by Gold Key and King Comics during the mid-1960s. Each issue features cover art by creator Mort Walker and carries a 12-cent original cover price. The group includes Gold Key issue number 41 (10025-305) from May 1963 depicting Beetle distracted by a woman in a red dress; Gold Key issue number 45 (10025-405) from May 1964 featuring Beetle marching with colorful balloons attached to his pack; Gold Key issue number 48 (10025-502) from February 1965 showing Beetle mopping with brushes on his head and feet; Gold Key issue number 51 (10025-511) from November 1965 depicting Beetle on a landing craft ramp; and King Comics issue number 58 from circa 1966 featuring Sarge and Beetle with a dog trick book. All items are presented in clear protective sleeves with white backing boards.
Condition report:
These comic books are raw and ungraded, generally presenting in mid-grade condition ranging approximately from Very Good to Fine. Issue 58 exhibits more pronounced wear including visible surface creasing, spine stress lines with color breaks, and minor chipping at the top left corner. The Gold Key issues show typical signs of age including minor spine rolls, light corner rounding, and some mild surface foxing or yellowing, particularly on the white backgrounds of issues 41 and 45.
