BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Eleven Chicago White Sox Autographed Photographs and Memorabilia

This collection features eleven autographed items from prominent Chicago White Sox players spanning several decades of the team’s history. The lot includes two Minnie Miñoso black-and-white 8×10 photographs, one a portrait inscribed To Nicholas B. and the other an action shot, accompanied by a Miñoso business card. Also included is a Ron Kittle color 8×10 portrait with a handwritten biographical note; a Gary Peters color 8×10 action photo with a handwritten biographical note; a Paul Konerko color 8×10 action photo inscribed To Zachary Paul Konerko #14; and a Luis Aparicio color 8×10 action photo. The group further contains two Harry Dorish items, comprising a black-and-white 8×10 portrait and a large-format color reproduction of his 1953 Topps baseball card; a George Kell color 8×10 photo signed George Kell HOF 83, which features an official Major League Baseball authentication hologram (Serial No. DB72797728) and is accompanied by a handwritten biographical note; a Carlos May color 8×10 action photo signed Carlos May #17; and a Jim Rivera color 8×10 portrait signed in blue marker. Authentication documentation includes a Thrill of Victory Certificate of Authenticity for the Harry Dorish card reproduction and the MLB hologram on the George Kell photograph.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The photographs generally appear to be in good condition with bold, legible signatures. Some items exhibit minor edge wear and surface marks consistent with handling and age. Unless otherwise specified via the mentioned holograms or certificates, the signatures have not been third-party authenticated.
