BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Two Eastman Kodak No. 2 and No. 2A Brownie Box Cameras

This lot comprises two antique box cameras manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester, New York. The collection includes one No. 2 Brownie and one No. 2A Brownie model, both featuring a classic upright rectangular body constructed of wood or metal and covered in textured black leatherette.

The No. 2 Brownie is designed to utilize No. 120 roll film. The side of the camera body features an embossed circular mark that reads USE FILM NO 120 NO 2 BROWNIE. A small black metal plate is riveted below this mark, inscribed with MADE IN U.S.A. BY EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY ROCHESTER, N.Y. U.S.A. The camera is equipped with a fixed-focus meniscus lens and two brilliant viewfinders positioned for vertical and horizontal compositions. A metal winding key is located on the right side.

The No. 2A Brownie is a larger model designed for No. 116 roll film. It bears an embossed circular identification mark on the side reading NO 2A BROWNIE USE FILM NO 116 MADE IN U.S.A. BY EASTMAN KODAK CO. ROCHESTER, N.Y. Like the No. 2, it features dual viewfinders, a side winding key, and metal latches to secure the back. Both cameras retain their original simple shutter mechanisms and film winding hardware.

Condition report:

Both cameras are in fair to good antique condition, showing characteristic signs of age and handling. The leatherette surfaces on both units exhibit scuffing, edge wear, and accumulated dust. The No. 2A Brownie has a significant area of peeling and material loss on the leatherette at the lower front-right corner. Metal hardware, including the winding keys, latches, and shutter levers, shows surface oxidation, tarnish, and minor corrosion. Viewfinder glass is clouded with dust. The shutter and internal mechanical functions have not been tested and are sold as-is.
