This is a vintage 1960s-era composition football bobblehead, also known as a nodder, representing the Washington Redskins. The figure is depicted wearing a burgundy helmet and jersey, yellow pants with red and white side stripes, white socks, and black cleats. The chest of the jersey is marked with the team name REDSKINS in white lettering, and the back is marked with the letters CO. The figure holds a football under its right arm and stands on an oval gold-painted base. The front of the base features the embossed name WASHINGTON alongside a colored NFL shield logo and a copyright symbol. The underside of the base retains an original circular gold foil sticker that reads PRO- NOVELTY CHICAGO ILL. 60647 JAPAN.
Condition report:
The bobblehead is in good vintage condition with bright original paint. There is a visible chip and paint loss on the back of the helmet exposing the underlying material. Fine surface cracking or crazing is present on the top of the helmet. Minor surface wear and dust are present throughout. The manufacturer label on the underside is fully intact and legible.
