This collection consists of eleven vintage comic books published by Marvel Comics during the mid-1970s Bronze Age. The lot features a variety of titles and key appearances from the era, including works with cover art by Jack Kirby, Gil Kane, and Al Milgrom. The individual issues included are Amazing Adventures featuring The Beast issue 13 (July 1972) featuring the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and issue 14 (September 1972) featuring Iron Man and Quasimodo. The collection includes Captain Marvel issues 47 (November 1976), 48 (January 1977), and 49 (March 1977) with cover art by Al Milgrom and appearances by the Human Torch, Cheetah, and Ronan the Accuser. Also present are Marvel Premiere featuring The Liberty Legion issues 29 (April 1976) and 30 (June 1976). Issue 29 is a key issue marking the first appearance of the Liberty Legion with cover art by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott, while issue 30 features the Red Skull. The lot also contains two copies of Marvel Adventure featuring Daredevil issue 3 (April 1975), which are reprints of Daredevil issue 12 featuring Ka-Zar. Completing the collection are Marvel Presents: Guardians of the Galaxy issue 5 (June 1976) featuring the original team, and Marvel Tales starring Spider-Man issue 75 (January 1977) which reprints the origin of Spider-Man from Amazing Fantasy issue 15. All books are raw and unslabbed.
Condition report:
The comic books are in mid-to-high grade condition, generally ranging from Very Good to Very Fine. The covers maintain vibrant colors, and most issues show minor spine stress marks and color-breaking ticks consistent with their age. Captain Marvel issue 49 shows visible creasing on the right edge and corner. Marvel Premiere issue 29 exhibits more pronounced surface wear and corner blunting. The Amazing Adventures issues are housed in protective plastic sleeves. Covers appear firmly attached to the staples across the entire collection.
