BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! This group of six vintage promotional posters was produced by DC Comics for retail store distribution between 1983 and 1988. The set includes a Star Raiders poster from 1983 for the DC Graphic Novel series, featuring artwork by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and text by Elliot S! Maggin on a metallic-coated gold-tone background. A 1985 poster for the graphic novel Me and Joe Priest features artwork by Ron Randall and writing by Greg Potter. The collection also includes a 1986 promotional poster for the series premiere of The Question, written by Dennis O’Neil with art by Denys Cowan and Rick Magyar. A 1988 poster for the DC publication of V for Vendetta features a large red V over the words The Comic Book. Finally, the lot contains two identical 1988 Action Comics Weekly posters, promoting the anthology launch with features including Green Lantern, Deadman, and Superman, featuring the artist signature STACY-88. Each poster displays the DC bullet logo and appropriate copyright information.
Condition report:
The posters are in good to very good overall condition. All items were originally distributed in a folded state and exhibit associated creasing along fold lines and minor wear at intersections. The Star Raiders poster shows surface wrinkling characteristic of the metallic paper stock. No significant tears, pinholes, or foxing are visible.
