This is an original multi-layer comic book cover production proof set for Mutatis Issue 1, published by Epic Comics in 1992. The dynamic cover art is by Colin MacNeil, featuring a painted sci-fi composition with vibrant purple, magenta, yellow, and deep shadow tones. The set is constructed using the traditional color separation proofing method, consisting of a white cardstock base layer printed with the yellow color channel and multiple overlying clear acetate sheets printed with the remaining color channels and black line work.
