BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! This collection consists of nine vintage comic book promotional posters and retail display pieces dating from approximately 1986 to 1988. These items were originally distributed to comic book retailers for in-store promotion. The group includes Howard Chaykin’s Time 2 for First Comics (1986); Mister X: The City of Tomorrow illustrated by Seth for Vortex Comics (1987); Carl Barks’ Uncle Scrooge: His Life and Times for Celestial Arts and The Walt Disney Company (1987); and a Pioneer Comics retail display poster (1988) featuring classic characters such as Prince Valiant, Rip Kirby, Secret Agent Corrigan, Jungle Jim, Mandrake the Magician, Buz Sawyer, Modesty Blaise, and Johnny Hazard. Also included are Trina Robbins’ California Girls for Eclipse Comics; Mitch O’Connell’s Be A Word Warrior literacy benefit poster (1987) featuring characters from First Comics; a text-based Malibu Graphics poster for The Trouble with Girls; a promotional piece for Tales From The Heart issue 2 published by Entropy Enterprises (1987); and a promotional poster for Slate Skate (1986). The posters feature a variety of graphic styles including noir, art deco, and classic adventure strip illustration.
Condition report:
Items are in good to very good condition. All posters exhibit original fold lines as issued for distribution. Observable wear includes minor handling marks, soft corners, and small stresses at fold intersections. No significant tears or major losses are observed. These items are not professionally graded.
