ITEM DESCRIPTION: Collection of Vintage Souvenir Folders
An assortment of vintage accordion-style souvenir postcard folders and travel ephemera documenting various United States destinations. The collection includes views of the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair, major metropolitan cities, and scenic landmarks. Many folders retain contemporary postage and handwritten correspondence postmarked between 1928 and 1945. A cardboard box for Eastman Kodak film sheaths and miniature view booklets are also included.
Condition report:
The paper folders show variable edge wear and corner bumping consistent with age and postal handling (photo 1). Surface tanning, scuffing, and minor creases are visible on numerous covers (photo 2). Several items exhibit scattered foxing and minor losses to the paper surfaces (photo 3). The Eastman Kodak box shows light abrasions and structural shelf wear (photo 1).
