A collection of four vintage Silver and Bronze Age humor and character-licensed comic books published by Gold Key (Western Publishing Company, Inc.) in the United States. This group includes two issues of Beep Beep The Road Runner, one issue of Larry Harmon’s Laurel and Hardy, and one issue of Daffy Duck. All items are in raw, unslabbed condition and are housed in protective bags with backing boards. The collection comprises: Beep Beep The Road Runner (Issue 10189-807), cover dated July (circa 1968), with a 12-cent cover price; Larry Harmon’s Laurel and Hardy (Issue 10196-701), representing the first issue of the Gold Key series, copyright 1966 with a 12-cent cover price; Beep Beep The Road Runner (Issue 10189-106), cover dated June (circa 1970), with a 15-cent cover price; and Daffy Duck (Issue 10029-803), cover dated March (circa 1968), with a 12-cent cover price.
Condition report:
The comics are in raw condition ranging from Fair to Good. Beep Beep The Road Runner (July issue) exhibits significant staining and discoloration, particularly at the top edge, along with moderate spine wear and stress lines. Larry Harmon\'s Laurel and Hardy #1 shows several prominent horizontal and vertical creases across the lower third, spine wear with color breaks, and light surface soiling on the white background. Beep Beep The Road Runner (June issue) features moderate spine stress lines, minor edge chipping and tearing along the bottom margin, and general cover wear. Daffy Duck displays heavy rippling and creasing on the right-hand side, a pencil notation or doodle above the character\'s head reading That\'s Hot Boy, and visible staining and surface dirt throughout.
