This lot consists of six vintage comic books from The Avengers series published by the Marvel Comics Group during the Bronze Age. The collection includes the following issues: The Avengers #121 (March 1974) featuring cover art by John Buscema and Joe Sinnott; The Avengers #134 (April 1975), a key issue featuring the beginning of the Origin of the Vision storyline with cover art by Gil Kane and Joe Sinnott; The Avengers #146 (April 1976) with cover art by Gil Kane and Dan Adkins; The Avengers #161 (July 1977) featuring an appearance by Ant-Man and cover art by George Perez and Pablo Marcos; The Avengers #178 (December 1978) featuring Beast with cover art by George Perez and Terry Austin; and The Avengers #179 (January 1979) featuring Beast and Dreadknight with cover art by Keith Pollard. Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition, collectively ranging from Good to Fine. Notable wear includes spine stress lines with associated color breaks across all issues and minor blunting at the corners. The covers show light surface wear, minor creasing, and typical age-related tanning. Issue #134 exhibits more pronounced spine stress and a slight spine roll. All covers appear firmly attached at the staples.
