BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Three Vintage Portable Tape and Voice Recorders Including Arvin, North American, and Olympus Models
This collection consists of three vintage portable recording devices, each accompanied by its original retail packaging and various accessories.
The first item is an Arvin portable reel-to-reel transistor voice recorder, Model 80158. The device is constructed with a two-tone plastic body and a clear plastic cover protecting the tape reels. The front interface features a rotary function selector for REW, STOP, PLAY, and REC, a sliding volume and erase control, a fast switch, and an analog level indicator meter. The unit is housed in its original cardboard box with molded foam inserts and includes a handheld microphone.
The second item is a North American Model N-678 transistor tape recorder. Labeled as a 6 Transistor unit, it features push-button controls for STOP, REW., PLAY, and REC., alongside a thumbwheel volume control. The recorder is composed of a cream-colored plastic chassis within a textured black case. The original box indicates the item was made in Japan and contains the operating manual and an earphone.
The third item is an Olympus Pearlcorder L200 microcassette recorder. This compact handheld unit is finished in silver-tone and black plastic, featuring a built-in speaker and Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) functionality. It is presented in its original black and gold grid-pattern box. Accessories include a black leatherette protective case, two microcassettes (one Olympus XB30 and one unlabeled red-shell tape), and additional components in original plastic packaging. The unit is marked Made in Japan by Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.
Condition report:
The recorders and their accessories appear to be in good vintage cosmetic condition with signs of age and shelf wear consistent with their period. The cardboard boxes show rubbing at the corners and edges. The internal molded foam packaging for the reel-to-reel units shows significant yellowing and crumbling due to age-related material deterioration. All items are sold untested for mechanical or electronic functionality.
